Gellar not up for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER film?

It looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar isn’t all that interested in portraying the ass-kicking vampire slayer BUFFY in a big screen version of the TV show, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER....

While doing a press junket for her new film SCOOBY DOO, Gellar had this to say when asked about a potential BUFFY film, and her interest in it.


"You know, I don't (feel committed to a BUFFY movie).” Gellar said. “I'm not in to it, and I've got to be honest and say that I believe that, first of all, it was a movie. It didn't work as a film and we battled for so long, just getting out from underneath was essentially a failed feature film and I feel that with the beauty of the story, that the attachment you have and the ride that you take with these characters. And I feel like we make a movie every week. So to take one episode to expand, it's kind of a waste.”


Let’s not forget Gellar, while she’s one of our most favorite people in entertainment today, also said she would never go with the show if it moved from the original WB to UPN. And she ended up going.
