Australia gets edited
After watching the season premiere last night I was disappointed to find that the version which appeared in Australia differed from the one shown on UPN in the USA.

The differences were subtle, but they were enough to make a difference to the 'flow' of the story. For instance, a scene missing was where Dawn and Buffy-bot are on their way to the parent-teacher day and Dawn is forced to cover up Buffy-bots' akward gaffe when she talks to a teacher about a scale model city made by the students who were studying Utopian societies.
Other scenes that were trimmed include those centred around the 'Hanson' vampire and the demon biker-gang.
Admittedly the different editing didn't change the plot, but the flow of the story was totally different and more hurried.
When television stations opt for shortened versions to squeeze more advertising revenue from Buffy fans it is just as annoying as Riley. Well, maybe not.
